If Google suspends your Business Profile

What a suspension means, how Nebula responds, and how to get reinstated.

What a suspension is

A suspension is Google’s action, not Nebula’s. A hard suspension takes your listing off Maps entirely and can take your reviews with it. A soft suspension leaves the listing visible but strips your verified status, so you lose the ability to edit it or manage reviews.

How you find out

Nebula’s daily compliance check detects both kinds and alerts you by email and push. Treat the alert as a heads-up, not a confirmation from Google: open your Business Profile and check.

While a profile is suspended, Google rejects changes to it, so edits and posts will not go live. Your dashboard stays in sync with what is actually live on Google rather than pretending an update landed.

Getting reinstated

File Google’s reinstatement request from your Business Profile account, with real-world proof ready: a business license, a utility bill, or a photo of your signage. Do not create a new listing for the same business; that makes reinstatement harder. Expect days to weeks.

Avoiding the next one

Most suspensions trace back to risky addresses, like virtual offices and PO boxes, or to recent edits to your name, address, or categories. The compliance check in your dashboard watches those risk factors every day, and you can run a check yourself any time. Your next check will show when your profile is healthy again.
