Connecting your Google account
What Nebula asks for, why, and what to do if it disconnects.
What the connection covers
One Google sign-in powers three things: managing your Business Profile (posts, review replies, profile edits), reading your Search Console data for the Queries report, and reading your Google Analytics for the Traffic report.
Nebula only asks for what those features need. You approve everything on a standard Google screen.
Connect the right account
Use the Google account that actually manages your Business Profile. If you run several Google accounts, double-check the picker before you approve. Connecting the wrong one is the most common setup miss.
If it disconnects
Google sometimes revokes access, for example after a password change. When that happens Nebula tells you by email and push, and the fix is one click: reconnect from your location settings.
Your data is safe while you are disconnected, but automation stops rather than queuing up. A post scheduled for a day you were disconnected does not publish late. After you reconnect, open Posts, then History, then Failed, and re-approve anything you still want. Re-approved posts publish right away.
Quick questions
Can Nebula see my Google password?
No. You sign in on Google’s own screen, and Nebula never sees or stores your password. Google hands Nebula a limited permission key covering only the features you approved. You can cut that access yourself at any time: press Disconnect in your location settings, or remove the app from your Google Account’s third-party access page. Nothing on your Business Profile is deleted when you disconnect; automation simply pauses until you reconnect.
Which Google account does an agency connect?
Your own, always. Have each client add your agency Google account as a manager on their Business Profile through Google’s normal sharing flow, then connect that one account in Nebula and it covers every profile it manages. Never ask a client for their Google password; Nebula only accepts the Google account that matches your own login email anyway. Manager access covers all the Business Profile work, and the client keeps ownership of their profile. The Queries and Traffic reports need that same account to also have access to the client’s Search Console and Analytics.
Why does the Traffic report end at yesterday?
Those numbers come straight from your Google Analytics, and Google finalizes them a day or two behind. Nebula shows what Google reports, nothing estimated.
