Switching from Local Falcon
Where your scans live, what happens to credits, and the honest math on why two grids disagree.
Do not cancel anything yet
Run both first. Put one client location on Nebula (your first location is $1 for 3 days, then $99 a month), keep Local Falcon exactly as it is, and compare grids for a month. When our map agrees with what you are seeing, move the rest of the book. Your Google profiles never notice a rank tracker changing underneath them.
And white-glove migration is a real offer: ask, and we walk your first migration with you, live.
Get your data out of Local Falcon
Every scan you have run is saved in your account under Reports, and scans export as CSV or PDF. Campaign reports export their data too. Their docs note one quirk: bulk export needs at least two scans on record.
Scan data and reports are the export surface: CSV and PDF, with an API and integrations on their larger packages if you already use them. Keyword lists are fastest to rebuild by hand, and on Nebula you will pick at most 10 per location anyway. Whatever route you take, pull what you want to keep before you downgrade, and hold on to the PDFs you have already sent clients; those are your records.
If you have your locations in any CSV with a header row, the importer takes it: in your Nebula dashboard, open Businesses, then Import locations. Map the columns once, review the staged list for free, and activate location by location.
What happens to your credits
From their own pages: monthly plan credits expire at the end of each month, pay-as-you-go credits never expire, and canceling a plan drops the account to pay-as-you-go rather than closing it. Because the account stays open, the scans you have saved stay where they were.
The practical read: time the switch near the end of a billing month and you waste almost nothing. Spend down the monthly credits on final scans, park the account in its pay-as-you-go fallback, and nothing you measured disappears while you compare. One thing to switch off first: their cancel page keeps Auto Scans running and your card on file through the downgrade, so turn off Auto Scans and Auto Recharge before you park it.
What changes on Nebula
Local Falcon meters every scan in credits, so every measurement is a spending decision. Nebula does not meter your scans: every tracked keyword gets a fresh 49-point audit every billing cycle on its own, nothing to trigger and nothing to budget. You track up to 10 keywords per location, and the whole system runs alongside it: posts going out, reviews getting answered, your listing kept complete.
Setup is about a minute per location: search the business, connect Google, pick your keywords. Agencies connect one Google account with manager access and it covers every client profile. First location $1 for 3 days, then $99 a month per location, backed by the 60-day rank guarantee (six criteria apply).
Why the numbers may differ
Local Falcon’s own help pages say it plainly: even a small amount of distance can lead to a different result, and even the zoom level of your map can affect what you see. No knock on them. Every scanner lives with this, ours included, because Google’s results genuinely move with sampling position, zoom, and time of day.
On top of that, every tool samples its own map points. Different grid spacing over the same city produces different averages with nothing changing in the real world, and each tool counts a not-found result its own way, so averages are not comparable across tools.
The difference is what stands behind the number. Our method is public on the checker rules page: 49 real Google Maps searches across a 7 by 7 grid, with the display drawn from those measured points. And the measurement carries a refund: if you opt in, meet the criteria, and your average map-pack rank has not improved after 60 days, every dollar you paid for that location during the window comes back. Their scans and ours both wobble. Ours is the one with money on it.
Quick questions
Can you import my Local Falcon scan history?
No, and nobody honestly can. Scans from a different grid at different points are different numbers, and merging them would fake a timeline. Park your Local Falcon account in its pay-as-you-go fallback so the history stays viewable, run both for a month, and let your first Nebula audit be the clean baseline.
Do I have to remember to run scans?
No. That is the biggest day-to-day change. Every tracked keyword re-audits every billing cycle automatically, so the map is always current when a client asks, and there is no per-scan meter running in your head.
What does the white-label side look like?
Reports carry your brand, and your clients pay you directly. If you want proof before spending anything, run the free rank check on a client and see the audit itself; it is the same engine your reports would use.
Switching from somewhere else?
Your first location is $1 for 3 days, then $99 a month. Keep your current stack, put one client beside it, and compare for a month. Backed by the 60-day rank guarantee (six criteria apply).
